People are the point.
Every plate served is also a chance to see, honor, and connect with a neighbor.
Good food. Real people. A stronger community. Help Central Church and community partners welcome our neighbors to Community Thanksgiving 2026.
Give to Community Thanksgiving Volunteer With UsFrom young volunteers to kitchen teams and guests around the table, Community Thanksgiving is a shared effort. These moments belong at the front because they show the heart of the day before anything else is explained.
This Thanksgiving, Central Church in Radford is opening its doors as the host site while local churches, community partners, and volunteers come together to serve our neighbors.
Our third annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner is about more than a meal. It is neighbors gathering around the same table, building relationships, and experiencing the strength of community.
Every plate served is also a chance to see, honor, and connect with a neighbor.
We are not only feeding people. We are helping build relationships across the New River Valley.
Community Thanksgiving works because local churches make space, give generously, and serve together for the good of Radford and the New River Valley.
Our 2026 host site, led by Pastor Doug Levy, opening the room where neighbors can gather for Thanksgiving dinner.

Visit Connection NRVChurches. Community partners. Neighbors together. From preparing the meat to serving the meal, baking desserts, and welcoming guests, volunteers make this gathering possible.
Community Thanksgiving is built by people who cook, carry, set tables, pray, laugh, and keep showing up until the room is ready for our neighbors.
Your gift helps provide turkeys and hams, side dishes, rolls and desserts, drinks, cooking supplies, and serving supplies. These essentials help us welcome our neighbors to a Thanksgiving meal.
Every gift helps. Whether it's $10 toward supplies, $25 toward food, or a larger gift to help cover the meal, your generosity becomes part of what we serve our neighbors on Thanksgiving Day. Churches, businesses, and community partners are welcome to contribute $1,000 or more. There is no maximum gift.
Make a DonationCommunity Thanksgiving gifts are received through the Givebutter campaign for this community effort. Choose your own donation amount and help make room at the table.
You don't have to be part of a church or have volunteered before to help make Thanksgiving special for our neighbors. Whether you have a few hours to give or want to help prepare for the dinner, we'd love to hear from you.
Volunteers help with meal preparation, setting up tables, welcoming guests, serving food, desserts and drinks, and cleaning up afterward.

These are the moments we are making room for: families, elders, volunteers, neighbors, and new relationships formed around the table.
Some guests come for dinner. Some come for company. Many leave with both. These moments are why we keep making room.
The beauty of this dinner is that it is not carried by one person, one church, or one kind of volunteer. People from across the community bring what they have, serve where they can, and help make the room feel welcoming.
Provide meals. Support volunteers. Supply essentials. Serve our neighbors. Financial sponsorships, donated food and supplies, and volunteer service all help make the dinner possible. For a church or business partnership, we would welcome a conversation about how you can participate.
